Bestowed by Brazilian Theatre Critics Association as best leading actor for his interpretation of Cervantes/Quixote in “Man of La Mancha” (2014), Cleto Baccic also appeared in many other Broadway shows produced in Brazil such as “Cats” as Rum Tum Tugger, “Mamma Mia!” as Harry Bright, “The Drowsy Chaperone” as Aldolpho and “Sweeney Todd” as Judge Turpin.
At The “Globe Theatre Sao Paulo” he was Proteus in Shakespeare’s “Two Gentlemen of Verona”. Previously, he was in the cast of “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead” by Tom Stoppard; “Blut am Hals der Katze” by R.W. Fassbinder, and “Tieta do Agreste” by Chris Trevisan.
In television, he was cast in the fist season of Band TV serie “Tô Frito”, and can be seen in numerous TV ads.
His musical and theatre studies include “Casa de Artes Operaria” with Ana Taglianetti, Kátia Barros and Saulo Vasconcelos, privates with Regina Machado, Vitor Philomeno and recently with Ronnie Kneblewsky.
Mr. Baccic is the head director of SESI’s Musical Theatre Conservatory, the first Brazilian taught programme recognized by the Ministry of Education.
